  • It is my sincere wish for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Please note: every order is unique - I custom print every print order and do not carry any inventory. Therefore, I ask you to refer to the following refund and exchange policies.

Returns or exchanges for any reason(s) must be initiated within 5 days of receiving your tracked order.

Full refunds, including shipping costs, are offered only under the following two conditions:

    • You have received the incorrect prints and it's my error
    • You have received incorrectly sized prints and it's my error

    Otherwise:

All returns or exchanges not meeting ‘full refund’ stipulations indicated above are subject to a 20% service and restocking fee.

Original shipping fees are 100% non-refundable.

For returns or exchanges, the buyer is personally responsible for the following:

    - Repackaging the prints (if the package has been opened).

    - Covering all return shipping and insurance costs.

    - Covering any and all applicable RETURN customs fees, duties and/or import taxes.

Prints must arrive back in original (perfect, i.e. unmarked, unblemished etc) condition.

If returned prints are damaged by customer handling or during shipping, or arrive in less than perfect condition (i.e. torn, scratched, folded, taped etc.), a 50% materials fee will be applied to either the refund or exchange.

Exchanges or returns on custom-designed orders are not accepted..

If you have any questions or concern about my return/exchange policies, please don't hesitate to contact me and I am happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have.

  • Materials

All prints are printed on luxurious heavyweight 100% mould-made cotton paper using vibrant HDR (High Dynamic Range) water soluble inks. All prints meet or exceed museum and gallery standards and are 100% archival.

    Editions

All prints sold on Thedor are by default "open edition" prints unless otherwise indicated. Unfortunately it is not possible to sign or number "open edition" prints - this is reserved for "limited edition" prints.

    Representation

Unless otherwise indicated, all listings are for the print(s) only and do NOT include frames, glass or mats. Any photos showing framed prints are strictly for reference only and are there to offer my customers a visual representation of what the print(s) would look like once framed.

    Custom Sizes

Custom print sizes are available for all open edition prints but are restricted to a maximum image width of 23"(58.4cm). If you have existing hardware that you would like to have art fitted to, please contact me with the required dimensions (as well as the titles of the print(s) you are interested in) and I will work to accommodate your needs, if possible.

Custom Design and Custom Colour Requests

I would be pleased to customize prints and/or change the colours in existing pieces to match your own colour palette. Fees will vary and a formal quote will be sent to you for approval before any work begins. For all custom work, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required and any current shop specials do not apply. Once the work is complete, I retain the copyright to any of the custom work done and also reserve the right to publish and/or sell any custom work done.

  • This guide is designed to help you care for your art prints.

Thank you for your order! If you have just received your prints, you must first remove any tape used for packaging. Take extra care to find and discard any tape as even the smallest piece could end up on your print and damage the surface. Discard and recycle all cardboard material used in packaging and do not re-use the cardboard material for long-term storage because it is not archival.

You should always handle the print by the edges and make sure that your hands are clean because the oils from you hands can affect and reduce the archival quality and leave marks on prints - especially in dark areas.

Alway try and use both hands to support your print to eliminate the possibility of bending or kinking it. A crease or kink in the print is permanent.

Do not use your hands to wipe off dust as this could damage the delicate surface. It is preferable to use canned air but extreme care should be taken to keep the can upright so no liquid is sprayed on the print. A soft dust brush can be gently used as long as the brush is clean and free of any dirt or oils.

As a general rule, you should be very gentle with your print. The fine art papers that I use are “fibrous” and are very susceptible to marking and should be treated with the same care as you would an original watercolour painting.

You should keep moisture or condensation from getting on the print. Although the ink is quite water resistant, water can still cause damage and leave marks which will be permanently visible once dry.

If possible, allow a few extra days for your print to “breathe” before framing. This will insure the inks can completely set and allow gas to escape.

Ideally your print should be framed in a method allowing for natural expansion and contraction to occur. If you are taping your print to a mat board it is highly recommended to not tape all around the print as this may cause your print to buckle. Prints have a tendency to expand and contract more in high humidity and a hinging method of framing your print is recommended. If you are unable to do this yourself than I would have a professional framer do this for you.

Ideally you should hang your framed prints in a location that is not in direct sunlight as this may cause fading or discolouration over time.

With just a little care and by following this guide, you will be able to enjoy your art prints for many years to come. If you have any other questions about the care of your prints, please contact me.
